The Story Thus Far


I am a young woman in Los Angeles pursuing a lifelong dream of being a top comedian while battling old wounds I have received along the way.


I came to California from Idaho in 1999 to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, of which I was unceremoniously kicked out of. I then moved back home for one very grizzly and depressing year, moved back out towards the end of 2000, went back home in 2002 briefly to lick my wounds, and have returned and remained since.


I have a day job, a lot of depression and anxiety, and while I'm never sure if this is going to work, I'm more afraid of never seeing the end of the story.


This started out as a journal of the anxiety I felt taking classes once again. It's turning into a journal of my anxiety as I try to get back on my original path. It's not always funny, it's not always bitchy, and it's not going to see another LJ cut in this lifetime unless there's a not worksafe picture of Colin Firth. Or Bea Arthur. You have my word on that.
